Foo Fighters man discusses streaming ahead of tour

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has spoken out about the debate around Spotify - stating that he 'doesn't fucking care' as long as people hear his music.
This month has seen Taylor Swift pull all of her music from Spotify, as she didn't think it was financially rewarding to artists.
Now, speaking in London yesterday ahead of announcing their upcoming UK tour, Grohl told Gigwise that he didn't care how people heard his music, just as long as they did.
"To me personally, I don't fucking care - because I'm playing two nights at fuckin' Wembley next summer," said Grohl. "I want people to hear our music. I don't care if you pay a dollar or $20 - just listen to a fucking song."
When asked his thoughts on the current state of the music industry, Grohl replied: "Well, I don't think that there's any lack of interest in music. I just think that people are trying to figure out how to inspire people to get it. I think that people are too focussed on the device, I think that people are too focussed on the delivery - they're not focussed enough on the listener, and have the listener be excited about music.
"I had this conversation with someone recently where he was like 'I don't even listen to music any more, there's too much of it'. That almost kinda doesn't make sense - I feel like there's not enough, but he's discouraged by the lack of focus on the listener. You want someone to listen to your music? Then give them your music and go play a show. To me it's that simple."
Grohl added: "When we were young, playing music in crappy punk rock bands, there was no career prospects and we loved doing it and we loved fucking watching it. Now there's so much focus on technology that it doesn't really matter."
