Dream pop band Kid Wave have unveiled the video for their new single, 'Honey'. Watch it first on Gigwise below.
Hailing from Sweden, Australia and the UK, Kid Wave's rapid ascent to success more than justifies lead singer Lea Emmery's decision to move to London to start a band. Her soft, Swedish accented vocals combine beautifully with the vast, garage rock instrumentals underneath.
Filmed at their recent sell-out show at Sebright Arms, which featured an art exhibition from Girls Only NYC (who create hand painted t-shirts and custom leather jackets to raise money for Breast Cancer Care), the video showcases the band's infectious and effortless onstage energy. "We got our friends' bands to play and DJ," says Emmery, "and it was just fun times all around."
Speaking of the song itself, Emmery adds, "'Honey' has got a big, open-space sound in contrast to the lyrics which are more self reflecting and introvert."
