Beyonce has released a fair amount of music in 2013. 'Bow Down / I Been On', 'Grown Woman', 'Standing In The Sun', 'Rise Up'. That's more than most artists have, but which one of these is her new single? We don't have the faintest clue.
There has been no 'official' single announced, and not one of her new tracks has been confirmed for her upcoming fifth studio album - which was rumoured to have been pushed back due to an apparent poor response to some of the tracks.
It is all very, very confusing indeed. If you can make head or tails of Beyonce's current release plans, please let us know. All the clues are below...
1. First of all she shared 'Bow Down / Been On'. Nobody knew what to make of it - because it was basically a bit bonkers
2. Then she made a big announcement that we all got very excited about. It was a Pepsi advert
3. Albeit, a Pepsi advert with a bit of a new song in it, 'Grown Woman'
4. But that wasn't released as a single, and she put another song on a H&M advert
5. But THAT wasn't the single either, and besides, she was too busy making sure no one took any photos of her looking ugly at her shows - like this
6. Which meant that tour photos from her London shows looked a lot like this
7. BUT HANG ON! Then artwork was released for another track, called 'Rise Up' which is written by Sia and from new cartoon movie Epic
8. Oh wait. This isn't the 'Run The World', 'Crazy In Love' sort of track we hoped for, it's a slushy end-credits ballad type thing, not exactly the world conquering return we all hoped for
9. So now it seems she has decided to get 'Grown Woman' out properly, which has recently 'leaked' in full and is really quite good (even if we all know it was recorded to sell fizzy drinks)
10. So what's going on? What is Beyonce's new single? WE DON'T HAVE A BLOODY CLUE. But we ask you - does this look like a woman without a plan?
