Paul Weller continues to dash the hopes of millions by stating he's still not up for a reunion with The Jam - adding that 'there's not enough money in the world'.
The father of Mod, who took over Gigwise with exclusive content to celebrate the release of his 2015 album Saturn's Pattern, has again stated that there's absolutely no possibility of a The Jam reform on the horizon, going as far as saying there's "not enough money in the world" to persuade him otherwise.
"I'm not a nostalgic person," he says, ruling out a Style Council reunion, too. "I like now. I like today. I don’t want to spend my time trying to recapture something that can’t be recaptured."
The Jam split back in 1982 and since then Weller's been a pretty prolific artist, but told The Guardian that's he's written three perfect songs in his entire career. According to him they are The Jam's 'Strange Town', his solo track 'Wings Of Speed' from 1995, and 'Going My Way' from his new LP.
He added 'Saturn's Pattern' is "defiantly 21st century" - "I don’t think that there’s anything else out that that sounds like this [album], for me personally. I am just trying to push myself forward and see where else I can go with music after all these years."
