Donald Trump's administration has taken yet another turn as it's been revealed he's started to bribe potential talent bookers for his inauguration.
Talent managers have told The Wrap that they have been approached by Trump's team, offering cash or even diplomatic positions in return for them booking singers for next month's ceremony.
The big day is just over a month away and the Trump camp are struggling to lure in A-list stars to perform at the event after reportedly approaching Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Aretha Franklin and even Katy Perry, who was a strong supporter of Hilary Clinton.
One source declared, "“Never in a million years have I heard something so crazy” and another said, “My first thought was, ‘Are you joking?' But no, it was serious.”
Trump's team have since released a statement to The Wrap denying the reports. “There is no truth to this insinuation,” said committee spokesman Boris Epshteyn. “First-class entertainers are eager to participate in the inaugural events. The inauguration as a whole will be an exciting and uniting celebration of freedom and democracy. We will be releasing further details at the appropriate time.”
It comes just days after Kanye West sent social media into meltdown after visiting Trump towers but now Yeezy may not be the only musician coming out in support of the President-elect if these supposed bribes have anything to do with it.
Two Hollywood sources also believe Gwen Stefani could turn up to perform. As a judge on America's The Voice she may be roped in by its producer Mark Burnett who created The Apprentice and now has a heavy hand in the inauguration.
There are however two names already confirmed for the ceremony on 20th January as 16-year-old America's Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho is booked to sing the National Anthem and Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli looks like he's on the books too.
