The quotes have recently been uncovered from a 2013 interview

In a recently surfaced interview, N.W.A.'s former manager Jerry Heller says he regrets talking Eazy-E out of killing Suge Knight.

The N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton was released earlier this month, and though it has been criticised for various omissions (most notably Dr. Dre's history of violence against women), the band's confrontation with producer and music executive Suge Knight is included in the film.

In a 2013 interview recently uncovered by the Music Times, the band's former manager Jerry Heller revealed that he regrets not allowing Eazy-E to kill Knight.

"One day I came into the office," he recounted, "and [one of my clients] and Eazy were talking, and I said, 'What’s going on here?' And Eazy said, 'You know this guy Suge Knight?' And I said, 'Yeah.' He says, 'Well, I'm gonna kill him… This guy's gonna be a problem, and I'm gonna kill him.'"

At the time, Heller persuaded Eazy not to carry out the killing. Now though, he regrets that decision: "And you know something? I should’ve let him kill him. I would’ve done the world a favour. He would have done it, for sure. By himself."

Suge Knight is currently awaiting trial for murder after a hit-and-run incident left one man dead and another hospitalised in Compton, California.
