Fans of The Stone Roses have reacted to news of their comeback - calling on the band to live up to their legacy.
After much rumour and speculation, the band then confirmed huge shows in Manchester and T In The Park for next summer.
Now, word is spreading of the band dropping new material, as well as bookies tipping them to headline Glastonbury 2015. Fans have taken online to voice their hopes for the future - and others are just a little bit bored.
Naturally, many are hoping for them to headline Glastonbury:
I note that there's a big Glastonbury-sized hole between the dates announced yesterday by the #StoneRoses. #justsaying

The Stone Roses MUST be headlining Glastonbury. And I don't have a ticket!

Meanwhile, others feel that the whole thing is a little pointless without new material:
Are The Stone Roses doing any new material, or is it another rehash of the rag and bone version of their 1989 album?
— Brian Slevchenko (@bogle_mcneep) November 3, 2015
I hope The Stone Roses announcement of 3 gigs in 2016, means an new album is due to be released also #StoneRosesAnnouncement
— Martin Hayes (@SeyahNitram) November 3, 2015

— Tellwright (@Tellwright) November 2, 2015
There's a danger the stone roses become the heir to the stadium rock, repetitive greatest hits churning Rolling Stones. New tunes please.
— MarK037 (@mar_k037) November 2, 2015
If Stone Roses aren't making new material, they can fuck off back to the old folk's home
— Brownhills Bob (@BrownhillsBob) November 2, 2015
And some, just couldn't care less:
I don't care about seeing The Stone Roses play, I adored them at the time, but I can't remember the last time I stuck on a record.
— Ms Tutu (@Ms_F_Tutu) November 3, 2015
Who are all these people who still care about The Stone Roses on this day and age? I just don't get it.

— Jerry Thackray (@everetttrue) November 2, 2015
I'm done with the Stone Roses. Just another bunch of fucking sell out crap merchants. *throws on growing pile of "good once, shit now" *
— Jenna Gueulard (@westendjenna) November 2, 2015
The Stone Roses?? Crap then and crap now!!! An enigma with ZERO talent! Real talent struggles whilst this lot play stadiums? #theragsofmusic
