Indie power pop band Native People have unveiled their new single, 'Don't Save Me'. Listen to it first on Gigwise below.
The fresh-faced Kent four-piece (two of the members are, sickeningly, just 18-years-old) combine 80s synths with indie electronica and a pure pop sensibility - and 'Don't Save Me' demonstrates this perfectly.
It's an off-kilter indie pop anthem flung out of space, grazing both Friendly Fires and - briefly - The xx on its way down. "You think you found me, we found each other," sings lead singer Reuben Todd. "You came across me, like no one other / Follow on, lead the way / I'll hold onto you, lead me astray."
