Arcade Fire joined the Preservation Hall Jazz Band to march through the streets of New Orleans in tribute to David Bowie last month. Now you can watch it below.

"I hope he can hear it, a little bit," said Regine Cassagne of the late icon, as the band prepared to take to the Louisiana streets. "Something. Why a parade? Because we're in New Orleans. And that's how we do it here."

The band then proceeded to march through the packed streets as Win Butler belted out 'Heroes' through a megaphone, flanked by the jazz instrumentals of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Fans, their children and even their dogs, were dressed up as various different Bowie incarnations as they marched alongside the band. The city was one of the last stops of Bowie's final tour back in 2004.

As well as 'Heroes', the band also performed 'Oh! You Pretty Things', 'Fame' and a handful of other numbers.

Meanwhile, last night Duncan Jones - acclaimed filmmaker and David Bowie's son - revealed that he is expecting his first child, and had shared the news with his father at Christmas shortly before his death.
