Barns Courtney is a singer-songwriter born in London but raised in Seattle. He is enjoying success both in the UK and America currently.
New song ‘Glitter & Gold’ when released went straight to number one in the Spotify Viral charts and number two in the iTunes alternative chart. Watch the video for the new single below.
The video mainly focuses on Barns Courtney, it’s simple yet in your face. A bit like the song itself. Colour pops and selected black and white old footage, and an interesting looking American house party. A very unclear story being told.
Musically, 'Glitter & Gold' is a crafty earworm with foot stomping rock at. His unique vocal tone turning the heavy repetitive drums and distorted guitars into something a little bit softer and creating a tune that could be enjoyed by the masses. The simple lyrics are ones to get stuck in your head along with the familiar beat all the way through.
Barns Courtney has been touring the US heavily earlier this year and is about to set out on tour again. This time he's supporting Tom Odell on a US jaunt. He will play XOYO, London on 30 November when returns to the UK.
Expect big things from this hotly-tipped newcomer in 2017. That voice is not one to be ignored.
