Elton John has never been one to pry away from the world of politics, so news that he is going to appear at Hilary Clinton's final fundraising dinner before the election, is no surprise.
What might be a surprise is the insanely pricey tickets. The tickets start at $33,400 according to an invitation obtained by City News Service. But even after that, to become a co-chair and get in a reception with Clinton, people will have to donate $100,000. Those tickets are being labelled as "premium dinner seating".
There are some concerns, however, as $33,400 is the most any one person can contribute to a national party in a year under federal law.
Elton John will play the one-off show alongside British songstress, Corrinne Bailey Rae.
Elton John has recently opened the Apple Music Festival in London's Roundhouse. The rocket man will be heading out on a UK tour in 2017, too.
