Let's face it, 2016 has been cursed. We've lost some of the greatest musicians and other entertainment heroes of all time. Twitter user has Christhebarker has created an image that unveils the scope of the scale of loss this year iwith the reimaign of Sgt. Peppers below.
The level of detail and positioning of each iconic individual on the sleeve keeps the feel of the original beautifully. If you just glanced at it, you'd be forgiven for thinking you're looking at the real thing. But on there is a mostly naked Bowie, who passed away January 10th leaving tremors across the music world who as we were shaken by the loss of one of the most inspiring, and talented songwriters and performance artists of our time.
Other legends on the image include Lemmy (who actually died at the very end of 2015). The Motorhead singer. Meanwhile, the fifth Beatle George Martin, Glenn Frey of The Eagles, Pete Burns, Prince and Leonard Cohen is at the back peering over in his trilby.
The image shows 2016 has also taken from us the most charismatic marijuana dealer, comic, and superb novelist Howard Marks, and Andrew Sachs (Manuel from Fawlty towers). There's a nod to other unfortunate events including Brexit and Trump's election victory on the image, too.
