Fat White Family have joined the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Hot Chip and Super Furry Animals on the awesome indie label Domino.
The band released their 2013 debut, Champagne Holocaust and 2016's Songs For Our Mothers via American indie Fat Possum - a tasteful but significantly smaller financial entity.
This move to Domino, one of the leading independent labels in the world, is something that should add huge momentum to their unrelenting rise in the industry. IN a little over four years they've gone from playing small London pubs to playing across some of the best festivals and biggest stages in the country. Their success has been largely grass roots and hasn't relied on hyper marketing. They just got such a brilliant reputation for playing live that people couldn't help talking about them.
Meanwhile, journalists have always been interested in talking with them because of their un self-conscious liberal political point of view and refreshing honesty about their relationship with each other, drugs, and the music industry. Subsequently promo worked itself and the band have become known up and down the British Isles.
Of the signing Domino boss Laurence Bell said: "Anyone with a nose for genuine rock & roll already knows that Fat White Family are plainly the most exciting, influential and talked about band to come out of this country in the last few years. We are delighted, if slightly nervous, at the prospect of taking them to the next level."
The band are currently working on their next album and keeping Sean Lennon a close ally.
