'Lonely Boy' stars The Black Keys have finally released their latest two albums to Spotify, with drummer Patrick Carney reluctantly announcing the news on Twitter.
Up until now, only single releases from newest records El Camino and Turn Blue were available to stream, with Carney being vocal in his critism over the service. Now, he appears to have made peace with Spotify - tweeting: "I'd rather people hear our music than not".
Carney previously spoke-out to The Seattle Times in 2014 about free streaming, advocating fair pay for artists. The drummer claimed Spotify and similar services "devalue music" and that "if somebody’s making money then the artist should be getting a fair cut of it".
The Keys drummer claims he still has reservations in regards to free streaming - stating he is "apprehensive" and "still an advocate for artists to be paid failry".
After five years of struggling with this we agreed to put the keys songs on Spotify. I'd rather people hear our music than not.

No advance or money was exchanged. I'm still an advocate for artists to be paid fairly. I'm still apprehensive.

Other artists such as Taylor Swift, Prince, and Jay Z have spoken of their issues with the service in the past, resulting in their back catalougs being unavaiable to stream freely.
