Suede frontman Brett Anderson will release a collection of solo material, which spans five years of his career.

Entitled Collected Solo Work, the boxset will be made up of four studio albums, which date back to 2007, alongside a disc of rare and unreleased recordings from 2010 and 2011.

"It was an exciting time for me as an artist; I had fallen out of love with being in bands and I wanted to try to explore things and test myself and grow beyond those parameters." Anderson says, reflecting on that period of his career.

He continues, discussing the journey he went on as a solo artist: "I think you can see the development in the work; from the clumsy fumblings of the debut through to the self-conscious minimalism of Wilderness and finally to the apogee of Slow Attack and the growl and gnarl of Black Rainbows, there is hopefully a sense that I was learning through my mistakes and plotting points on a creative path"

Following his creative journey, fans will also be able to gain an insight into Anderson's work process, with the collection including a DVD interview in which he discusses the writing and record of the albums.

The release follows Suede's hugely successful comeback with the critically acclaimed 2013 record Bloodsports and 2016's Night Thoughts.

Brett Anderson - Collected Solo Work will be released March 17 on CD and Vinyl
