Rascalton have unveiled a wildly energetic video to their single 'Lust', a two-and-a-half minute no nonsense youthful punk song that sings about a crush on a teacher.
The new cut was produced by Baby Strange frontman Johnny Madden and released on the label Public. The label is run by Madden and Conor Goldie, who reminds Gigwise of a young Alan Mc Gee.
The below video that has captured the crazed energetic reaction live guitar music gets up in Glasgow's small venue circuit. It has done total justice to Glasgow's underground and Rascalton and gets extra creedence for having been made by the creative label owners.
Rascalton are currently not very well known outside of indie venues in Scotland but have recently signed to 13 Artists, a booking agency that will see them land some huge shows in the coming months. On evidence of the reaction they get up in Glasgow it seems there's no wonder the industry want to bring them to a wider audience.
Their label Public is the natural successor to Dead Beet Records - also run by Madden and Goldie. Now defunct, Dead Beet Records released some great new band singles, including a record by The Lapelles, who made the headlines last year when their singer Gary Watson tragically passed away.
Public also are involved in a night in Glasgow called Club Sabbath which will make its debut in London at the Sebright Arms on 8 September and features a DJ set from Wolf Alice's Ellie Rowsell.
