Boy George has been jailed for 15 months for falsely imprisoning a male escort in his home in East London.
The former Culture Club star was found guilty last month of handcuffing Audun Carlsen to a wall in his bedroom in April 2007.
Judge David Radford told Boy George, whose real name is George O'Dowd, he was guilty of "gratuitous violence".
The Judge said O'Dowd's actions were "premeditated" and "callous", and had "traumatised" Carlsen.
"He ( Carlsen) was denied his dignity,” Judge Radford added as he handed down O'Dowd's sentence at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
'Stealing Photos'
During his trial, lawyers for O'Dowd told the court the singer had detained Carlsen after suspecting him of stealing photos from his laptop.
The singer claimed images taken from his laptop included photos from a pornographic photo shoot he and Carlsen had held together.
It was several weeks later when O'Dowd invited the male escort to his Shoreditch house for a second time that he and another man chained Carlsen and assaulted him, the court heard.
