Lorde has named Drake's Nothing Was The Same album as one of her favourite releases of 2013, and has praised the Canadian star for being 'so emo'.
The New Zealand newcomer had previously seemed critical of Drake, have claimed that Drake's music didn't relate to her, due to his lyrics about wealth and material posessions, but the 'Royals' chart topper has now showered the rapper with praise for his emotional music.
"I like soul-baring music, and there are some tasty jams on this album. There aren't that many dudes in Drake's position that are so emo," she tells Rolling Stone magazine. "He does those moments of I'm f**king this beautiful woman, but I'm so sad!" so well."
"You expect that from him. I saw heaps of funny things about him on Twitter, like, 'When it's raining, that means they're listening to Drake in heaven.'"

Lorde was recently praised by Westcountry superstars Muse, who named the star as one of their favourites of the past 12 months. "That ‘Royals’ song, that’s pretty interesting," said Matt Bellamy in an interview with Radio.com. "Lorde have mercy, yeah. That’s pretty good."
