Arctic Monkeys have thrown their support behind the reunion of their old school friends The Libertines, saying they would like to attend their Hyde Park show.
After breaking up in 2004, and briefly reuniting in 2010 to headline Reading & Leeds festivals, The Libertines announced last month that they will be performing a huge comeback show in Hyde Park on 5 July.
The announcement was followed up by the announcement of several warm-up shows, as well as a headline slot at Benicassim.

Speaking to NME of the reunion, Arctic Monkeys' Matt Helders said: "It's probably worth seeing, isn't it."
Lead singer Alex Turner agreed, saying: "If there's a way we could go and jump around - we are old mates - to The Libertines' tunes the way we used to, I would of course relish that. I can remember the moment... Up The Bracket on Nick's walkman or whatever on the bus, and being like, 'Wow!'"
He added: "It does that thing to you, that I would submit to you music is supposed to do, which is make you feel something that you don't really have a choice." Grammatically, that sentence makes no sense, but the sentiment is there.
Arctic Monkeys released their critically acclaimed fifth album AM last year, but recently stated that they're "not in a hurry" to write the next one.
