It's definitely off

Remember when Britpop fans got very excited because Liam Gallagher spelled out Oasis on Twitter? Well, it all added up to nothing, and guitarist Bonehead has now finally quashed any suggestion of a reunion, saying there is absoutely nothing happening.

Gallagher sparked internet frenzy in April 2014 when he spelled out the band's name, letter by letter, in five Twitter updates. It immediately led to huge speculation that the band would be announced as the final headliner for Glastonbury (no, that was Metallica, a spokeman for the festival stated the band had never been asked) and seemed further uncertain when guitarist Bonehead said the tweets were posted during a drinking session in the pub. Now, the he has stated conclusively, that there is no reunion on the cards.

"Everyone hopes it happens, but there’s nothing going on," Bonehead said in an interview with Female First. "I met Liam in the pub that evening he Tweeted the letters spelling the band and he didn’t mention he’d done it. Next thing, reunion talk everywhere."

In a previous interview with NME, Bonehead asked: "What did he tweet, was it regarding fig rolls or something? There were no fig rolls involved officer."

When quizzed about what the tweets could have meant, Bonehead replied: "Probably the fact that I texted him going, ‘Meet me in the beer garden’. That probably rattled his cage. Maybe that. I don’t know though, because I meet him every fucking month. Maybe he’s just reminiscing."

In amazing Bonehead style, he then himself took to Twitter to post:

Below: What if Oasis had never been signed 20 years ago?
