More than 50 fans were arrested, and dozens treated for alcohol-related problems at a Keith Urban show which the singer described as "nutso."
The gig, which took place in Mansfield, Massachusetts, proved extremely chaotic, as Mancfield'spolice and fire departments had to call in ambulances from five other towns to deal with the amount of drunkenness.
Mansfield's fire officials declared a "mass casualty incident" at 8.51pm, while a few hours later two life support ambulances had to be called, according to reports from the Sun Chronicle.
In a statement, police and fire chiefs Ron Sellon and Neil Boldrighini said: "In total, Fire and EMS attended to 46 medicals resulting in 22 transports, mostly alcohol-related... Police dealt with a steady stream of intoxicated persons as well, resulting in over 50 people being taken into protective custody and a number of others arrested for alcohol-related issues."
In a tweet after the show, Keith Urban said: "Gosh, up on the lawn tonight, that was nutso. it was so cool."
