Madonna’s team has confirmed that the superstar’s forthcoming album will not be released until 2015.
The singer has been seen working with a range of producers including Avicii and Diplo on her thirteenth studio album. The title is widely rumoured to be Unapologetic Bitch, due to Madonna overusing the hashtag in her Instagram posts this year.
Billboard reported that the singer: “Is planning for [the album] to be released in 2015. She’s currently in the studio with Diplo and having a lot of fun.”
Madonna has shared snippets of the recording process this year via Instagram and fans have learned that the artist is collaborating with people such as Natalia Kills, MoZilla (known for writing ‘Wrecking Ball’) and Ariel Rechtshaid.
Diplo recently discussed working on three tracks with Madonna, telling Billboard: "One is super weird. Late one night in the studio we got a little bit drunk and she improvised a little hook and we made a song out of it. I think it’s going to be a breakthrough if she can manage to get everything together and get it out properly."
Madonna’s last release, 2012’s ‘MDNA’ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it her fifth consecutive No. 1 studio album and eighth chart-topper overall.
