George Michael has said that Wham! may reunite for the purposes of a festival show.

In an interview with Mojo, he said that he had stayed in touch with Andrew Ridgeley over the years and that the pair had recently entertained the idea of getting back together. They last played as Wham! back in 1986, after five years of hits including 'Club Tropicana' and 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.

''He came round and cooked," he told the magazine. "We were talking about a Wham! reunion at Glastonbury in the fallow year.''

When quizzed by Q magazine about what his biggest regret was, he responded: ''Splitting Wham! ... Also, not asking Kate Moss to join.''

He also said that when he reunited with Ridgeley they “hugged and chatted for hours”. The duo did briefly reform in 2012 for a performance of 'Freedom' at the Olympics closing cermony.
