Queens Of The Stone Age played their first ever headline slot at Reading festival last night (22 August), following on from co-headliners Paramore.

The band arrived on the main stage at 10.15pm, accompanied by green and red lazers and white circular lights. They opened with 'You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire', followed by 'No One Knows'.

"The first time we played here it was 1 o'clock" said frontman Josh Homme as the band kicked off their set. "Now it's 10 o'clock. That means we're nine hours better." Quite.

Though the crowd diminished slightly as the set progressed, the thousands who stayed were treated to later tracks such as 'Sick, Sick, Sick' and 'Feel Good Hit Of The Summer'.

Josh Homme ended the set by telling the crowd, "We hope you get shitfaced and forget why you stink so much. If you don't it's your own goddamn fault."

Queens Of The Stone Age play Leeds festival tonight (23 August), this time preceding Paramore.
