A somewhat unexpected remix of Paolo Nutini's 'Iron Sky' by acclaimed producer Hudson Mohawke has surfaced online, listen below.
The latest single to surface from Nutini's critically acclaimed third album Caustic Love, 'Iron Sky' is undoubtedly a highlight in the Scottish singer's career to date, a soaring statement of passion cut with the accented grit that can only come from an artist that has really come into his own in 2014.
Premiered by Fact, Mohawke's reworking somehow manages to take 'Iron Sky' to transcendent new heights, bringing a stuttering electronic beat into play which not only raises the track's emotional grounding and all-out intensity, but seems to give Nutini's rasping vocals a completely different edge. Needless to say, it's bloody brilliant.

Receiving rave reviews since it's release earlier this year, Caustic Love is expected to be nominated for The 2014 Mercury Music Prize in September, with the likes of Metronomy, FKA Twigs, The Horrors and many more also circling the rumour mill.
Caustic Love is out now on Atlantic Records.
