30 August would have seen the late, great John Peel turn 75 years old.
The legacy of the British radio icon cannot be overstated enough, with Peel having an unrivaled impact on new music and breaking bands to the masses, all with charm, grace and wit.
Tomorrow (31 August) will see BBC 6 music host a special show in memory of Peel, looking back at his impact on British music along with memories from the people inspired by his work (including Gigwise).
