Ryan Adams has spoken out against journalists who choose to ask him about his personal life and wife Mandy Moore.
He does have a point, particularly after his latest self-titled album is one of the best of the year and of his career. Everyone should probably focus on that, but during a Q&A with Buzzfeed (via Spin) Adams hit out at those who choose to focus on his personal life.
"OK, so I just hung up 'cause I was on the radio getting asked about my wife," said Adams. "I was really nice about it the first time, and I'm sorry, but I won't repeat myself. The deal is this: I'm a private person and I'll be a gentleman and say I'm not talking about my marriage ever. I'll never talk about it.
"Ever. I'll talk about rescue cats for a few seconds. But even there I don't want to talk about my pets. If I have children I'm not going to discuss that with anyone ever. I'll suggest it once and then I'm going to hang up."

Reviewing the album, we said: "The alt-folk hero's 14th studio album (FOUR-TEENTH!) R'Adams self-titled effort is the longest he's ever taken with just three years. It is more than worth the wait, singularly containing all that's great about his national treasure - vivid and reflective poetry, blistering open-road Americana and folk so sweet you need listen to it through a stethoscope."
