Dave Grohl stopped by The Cribs' studio in New York yesterday (6 October) - but the band were quick to point out that they are not working with the Foo Fighters frontman.
The British band are currently recording a new album with The Cars' Ric Ocasek, and celebrated the first day by posting a picture from the studio, which saw them standing alongside Dave Grohl.
A few hours later, after the picture prompted mass speculation, the band took to Twitter to say, "By the way - Dave G just called into studio to say hi, we aren't working together! Just a hang with an awesome dude."
Foo Fighters recently visited the UK to headline the closing ceremony of London's Invictus Games, before which they performed a series of intimate shows across the south of the country.
The band are also amongst the acts rumoured to headline next year's Glastonbury festival, tickets for which sold out in 26 minutes on Sunday.
