Gigwise and UK Festivals have compiled an initial shortlist of 23 bands that defined this year: from Metallica's controversial headlining of Glastonbury, St Vincent's stunning set at End Of The Road, Queens Of The Stone Age's career-spanning performance at Reading to Lily Allen's last minute step-in at Latitude.
It's been a stunning summer for live music and now is the time to recognise who impressed you. Voting closes on 27 October.
