U2 have revealed they will undertake a week long residency on The Tonight Show later this month, playing the iconic US TV show on five consecutive nights.
Kicking off on Monday 17 November, they become the latest band to undertake a residency on late night television, a trend seemingly reignited when Foo Fighters took over The Late Show with David Letterman last month.
It is expected the band will play songs from their latest album Songs of Innocence, which was released last month physically, and caused controversy back in September when it automatically appeared in the iTunes accounts of millions.
This isn't the first time U2 have taken over a show for a week, with the group adopting a residency on Letterman in 2009 after releasing No Line on the Horizon.

Interestingly, U2's residency coincides with Metallica's week-long take over on The Late Late Show, however the bands will be performing in different time slots.
