Mick Hucknall has confirmed the rock n' roll myth that he has slept with thousands of women, but he doesn't want to boast about it... sort of.
The Simply Red frontman, sometimes reffered to as Mick "Yucknall" has made no secret of his conquests over the years, with previous statistics including 1,000 a year during the mid 80's. He has since gone on to apologise to those women, telling the irish independent about the ladies "he could've treated better".
In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Hucknall has once again discussed his bed hopping antics, stating that while he doesn't keep count, he does have a fairly substantial estimate in place.
"I’ve not denied that but I never claimed it. I never bragged about it. I don’t keep count," he said. "I’ve no idea, but I would think over a 25-year period that’s probably reasonable to say. But do I want to say it?"
“It’s like kids in a candy store. You can’t believe it. There’s girls chasing you all the time – it’s incredible. When you’re 24 you don’t give a toss. You’re invincible. You can do anything. Your mind is set in a way that the world is just ready and you’re just going to take it all. You’re just going to have a grand time.”
Back in 2006, Hucknall caused a stir with an interview with The Observer where he again referred to his past conquests.
"If I go out and get drunk and end up in bed with two women what's wrong with that?" he said. "I had a great time. If they want to tell their story that's their problem. They're the ones who end up looking like cheap whores on the front of a magazine with their tits hanging out."
