A dreamy rendition of Bright Eyes' 'Ladder Song', performed by Lorde, has been revealed ahead of the release of the new soundtrack to The Hunger Games. Listen below.
The track is a gentle lament that gradually fills out with long organ notes and vocal harmonies. Lorde's voice trips and skips over the top, giving the track an effective foggy feel. The original track appeared on The People's Key, Bright Eyes' 2011 album.
The track will close the Mockingjay soundtrack, an album that Lorde herself curated and contributed to three tracks on the record.

As well as curating the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, Lorde also features four times in the tracklisting - with the previously revealed 'Yellow Flicker Beat', a Kanye West remix of the same song, and as a guest on Stromae's 'Meltdown' (alongside Pusha T, Q-Tip and Haim) and The Chemical Brothers' 'This Is Not A Game'. She's been busy.
