Slash had a pop at U2 on Twitter earlier this week after the divisive Irish band made a slightly inappropriate error in their choice of gift for the guitarist.
Bono sent over a crate of Guiness to the former Guns 'N' Roses member but forgot one tiny yet crucial thing, Slash is sober.
He responded via the social media account in comically derisive manner:
Many thanks to @U2 for the "Welcome to Dublin" case of Guiness! The only thing I miss about being sober. iiii]; )'

But then went on to add:
The @U2 gift of Guiness was in the true spirit of Welcome to Dublin for the whole entourage. & much appreciated. & a nice gesture. iiii]; )'

Slash recently revealed his thoughts on a Guns N' Roses reunion telling GuitarWorld.com: "People have been speculating about it for years but I really have a hard time picturing it. There hasn't been any communication along those lines between Axl Rose and I."
He added: "I have a hard time picturing it, because I'm always focused on the next show. I'm one of those people who lives in the moment. I don't look too far into the future and I don't dwell to much on the past."
