Bryce Dessner from The National has curated a stunning multimedia music programme for this year's Barbican music marathon.

The event will take place at Milton Court Concert Hall in London from May 9 to May 10, 2015, with events occuring in Barbican Hall, Milton Court Concert Hall, and St. Giles.

Entitled 'Mountains and Waves: Bryce Dessner and New American Music', the specially curated programme will feature a showcase of 20th Century classics, as well as brand new orchestral works by Bryce Dessner himself and Richard Reed Parry from Arcade Fire.

The event will also boast the world premiere of Parry and Dessner's new collaborative string and orchestra work 'Wave Movements', which takes inspiration from the wave cycles of the world's oceans.

A rendition of Steve Reich's Drumming, performed by So Percussion will take place later on in the evening.
