Noel Gallagher has speculated he might have to give up retire from playing live, as the demands of life on the road take their toll.
In a new cover story with Loaded magazine he announces: ''Maybe I'll retire from playing live, it depends how long you can be arsed. Ten years from now I don't think I'll be getting on a bus - it's undignified. But I don't think I'll ever stop writing - as long as my brain and bones last out."
Thankfully even if the rigours of travel become too much, it won't be the last we hear from the songwriter: ''I'll just have to tailor the touring. It's not fun being on a bus for six weeks in America. It's fine when you're young, but I'm almost 50.''

Gallagher also shared that he finds touring physically more demanding than he used to.
''The worst thing for me about getting older is the hangovers," he said. "Hangovers last for three or four days. 'I haven't got the stamina for three days at Glastonbury any more, although I did that last year and it was fucking horrific. On the third day I get a bad back and all the rest of it, but on the whole, I think I'm doing all right.''
Speaking of Glastonbury, Gallagher is still among the rumoured acts to top the bill at the festival this year. He is also playing the Teenage Cancer Trust benefit at the Royal Albert Hall on 28 March, as well as headlining London's Calling Festival and appearing at T In The Park. He is also playing a huge homecoming show this summer at Manchester's Summer In The City at the legendary Castlefield Bowl.
