Palma Violets have released a new song entitled 'English Tongue', the second glimpse of what lies in store on their upcoming second album. Check it out below.
Premiering on Huw Stephens' BBC Radio 1 show last night, 'English Tongue' represents more of the same from a band who knows what they do best. Over a stomping piano-driven anthem punctuated by bluesy guitar licks, dual frontmen Samuel Fryer and Chilli Jesson belt out their vocals with gusto, sacrificing nuance in favour of impact.
The South London band is due to release a follow-up to 2013's '180' on the 4th May via Rough Trade. The title track of the album, 'Danger In The Club', was previously shared by the band in February. New music from the band will doubtless have fans counting down the days until their UK tour begins this month.

Palma Violets were added to the Live At Leeds Festival line-up last month, alongside Carl Barat, The Cribs, Dry the River and others. On tour, the band has eschewed major cities in favour of often-overlooked venues in Southend, Norwich and Wakefield, among others, though Live At Leeds will doubtless suit the band, taking place in the heart of a city with on of the UK's most exciting live music scenes.
Live At Leeds Festival 2015 takes place at multiple venues across Leeds from 1 - 4 May. For tickets and more information, visit here.
