Since Prince's surprise performance at Camden's Electric Ballroom last night (4 February) and the revelation that he'll be there again tonight, there's been mass hysteria amongst his fans. Now a queue of hundreds has formed as people hope to get a ticket for tonight's gig.
According to the Camden New Journal, many people faked ill to get off work, others took taxis to get round the current tube strikes, and one woman even cancelled her holiday to queue in the pouring rain.
The catch is, none of them even know how the ticketing is going to work, how many will be released, or how much they're going to cost. Here's a video of the nonetheless optimistic fans.
Prince superfan Ruth Newcombe was supposed to be going on holiday to Turkey on Friday. "I cancelled the holiday" she said, "I was going to visit a close friend and I had to tell her 'Please understand.' She did understand because she knows I love Prince. I've seen him over 25 times." Let's hope, for the sake of her admirably understandable friend, that Ruth manages to get in for the 26th time.
At a press conference, which took place in Lianna LaHavas's flat last night (4 February), Prince confirmed that he is going to play iconic venues throughout London, but refused to say exactly when and where.
