Unless you've had your head buried under a rock recently, you may have noticed that the UK has turned a tone of purple in recent weeks. Prince has been in town, and caused some serious mayhem with a string of 'secret shows'.
They haven't been secret at all, to be honest, just announced with short notice, but response from the public has has been enormous - with fans queuing for hours in the rain for his gigs in Camden and spending an entire Sunday outside Shepherd's Bush Empire for his £10 show in West London.
The star has set a new standard of fan frenzy with his recent London trip, and it will have been noted by many other stars and record labels - all wondering how they can stir up something similar. Not every artist could cause such a commotion (some seem to be on the road all the time), but here are the stars we reckon would bring the UK to a juddering halt if they took to the road for their own 'surprise', intimate gigs...
