'Wrinkly old men, trying to relive their youth'

The Rolling Stones frontman has made jibes at himself, Monty Python and ageing rockers everywhere in a brilliant new video. Check it out below.
The old rocker made the tongue-in-cheek video to promote comedy icons Monty Python's upcoming show at the O2 Arena in London tonight (Tuesday 1 July).
"Monty Python, are they still going?" smirks Jagger, making comments that could clearly be about The Stones. " "Ten shows, they will coin it in. I bet it is expensive. But, I mean, who wants to see that again?
He continues: "It was funny in the 60s. They are a bunch of wrinkly old men trying to relive their youth. I mean the best one died years ago. We’ve seen it all before, they’ve put it all up on YouTube."

Commenting on the parallels between The Stones and Python, comedian and author Eric Idle told a press conference: "There are similarities. They want to see the parrot sketch, like you want to see 'Let’s Spend The Night Together'.
"It would be odd to try to write better things than our best at this age."
Monty Python will be playing ten shows at The O2 in London throughout July. For more information visit Gigwise Tickets.
