As summer ends, we celebrate the records that have soundtracked the year so far
You can already feel the summer sun setting as winter takes hold. While the end of the year draws near, we can't help but reflect on what an incredible amount of brilliant albums we've heard in 2014 so far. Here are 50 of the best.
Last year may have seen the return of the likes of Daft Punk, Arctic Monkeys and David Bowie, but 2014 has seen some utterly staggering releases across all genres - making for a soundtrack that's as eclectic as it is compelling.
