Walking into Fabric is like walking into a musical maze as you wind down through the electro, drum n’ bass and trace rooms until you come to the main hub of this alternative world where South Central are just taking to the stage.

This Brighton based band embody the modern indie/dance cross over sound perfectly between cascading riffs, pounding drums and gut shuddering bass lines all mashed up with scuzzy electro and synth sounds, but rather than coming across like just another Klaxons, South Central have a harder edge to hem reinforced by the distinct lack of vocals across each of their songs.

As they build up their set and break it down with shotgun precision, the crowd, which wasn’t massive at first, suddenly surges forward to become a heaving body of crazy dancers. As they punch and scramble through their set with some phenomenal numbers, South Central hold the club goers in the palm of their hands whilst they manipulate the atmosphere brilliantly like electro svengalis leaving the stage to screams of more and a round if applause that raises the roof.

For those who adore their Justice, Feadz or Does It Offend You, Yeah? this is most definitely a band who should appear in their music collection pronto.
