Sting is apparently charging tourists £208 a day to pick grapes on his Italian estate.

The Police frontman, worth an estimated £180m, offers the service at his 900 acre Tuscan estate which currently produces honey, olive oil and biodynamic wine. Clearly with one eye on the lucrative Observer Food Monthly demographic, Sting now offers a chance to take part in the annual farming of the land.

According to the Telegraph they pickers will also experience: "the adventure and excitement of being part of the annual vendemmia, the traditional October grape and November olive harvests respected by generations of Tuscan farmers".

Earlier this year Sting announced he would not be bequeathing any of his fortune to his children describing the money as an 'albatross'.

Sting recently announced details of two special, intimate shows at The Sage in Gateshead. Full dates and ticket details are below.

Born in neighbouring Wallsend, he will be playing songs from The Last Ship to mark the venue's 10th anniversary.

Sting's Sage dates are below. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 1 September. For tickets and more information, visit here
