Adorable Australian brother-sister duo Angus and Julia Stone have curated a playlist for Gigwise of a selection of their favourite tracks. Hear it below.

Having just released their third self-titled studio album, produced by Rick Rubin, Angus and Julia Stone kicked-off their Australian tour earlier this month. But before heading to Sydney, they were happy to tell us about their favourite line by Leonard Cohen and the most magical song by the Cure (via a little French expressionism).

The Flaming Lips - 'Do You Realize??'
Angus: "Because of these lyrics: 'Do you realize that happiness makes you cry / Do you realize that everyone you know someday will die / And instead of saying all of your goodbyes / Let them know you realize that life goes fast.'"

Miles Davis - 'Blue in Green'
Julia: "Absolute warmth, simplicity and romance… a total calm washes over me when this tune is on, brought to life by Bill Evans' piano playing."

Led Zeppelin - 'The Rain Song'
Angus: "It's hard to believe this all happens in one song."

Parliament - 'Taking Care of Business'
Julia: "This song is the definitive funk and soul track of the Seventies for me. Dirty rock and soul that is hard to beat."

Leonard Cohen - 'Anthem'
Angus: The best lyrics ever: "There is a crack in everything / That's how the light gets in."

The Cure - 'Pictures Of You'
Julia: "This track is magical - that’s all there is to say!"

Erik Satie - 'Lent et Douloureux - Gymnopédies'
Angus: "Another simple but powerful piano piece by the French expressionist composer. Sounds like Monet's Waterlilies."

John Lennon - '#9 Dream'
Angus and Julia: 'It is everything a song should be. Depth in its simplicity.'

Angus and Julia Stone's self-titled new album is out now.

Grizzly Bear the new single, is released 6 October (Virgin/EMI)
