The 1975 have released the video for their latest single 'Love Me' and it's a glam-rocking affair. Check it out below.
Directed by Diane Martel, the mind behind the infamous videos for 'Blurred Lines' and Miley's 'We Can't Stop', this new offering from The 1975 sees the band go H.A.M with their 80s influences.
The video sets out to be a 'post-ironic' and indulgent satire of rock and roll in the digital age which may go over your head but won't detract from the fact that it's a hell of a ride. With Matt Healy stepping into the theatrical frontman role he was born to play, the video hosts a surplus of androgynous flare and retro themes that perfectly encapsulate the throwback construction of 'Love Me'.

Speaking about the track, Matt Healy said: "we wanted to capture the neon-hued enthralling acquisition of success and excess, the screaming momentum, the sexy daze. Everything is ridiculous! But, is it? The only art worth any investment is art that makes one feel personally addressed. A simple truth, or set of truths, that galvanises an awareness and passion within an individual and in doing so immerses the individual into a sense of shared experience and community founded upon that same personal connection or experience."
It's touching stuff, and a very vague insight into what the new album might actually sound like. In the meantime, you can get excited for The 1975's return by checking out their tour dates below. For tickets, visit here.
