Badly Drawn Boy, aka Damon Gough, reportedly threw his harmonica at a fan who criticised him during a recent gig.
The singer, who won the Mercury Music Prize in 2000 and scored the Hugh Grant film About A Boy, was performing in Northampton when the incident took place on Sunday.
Describing the local area as 'sh*t' caused one gig goer to criticise the singer back. Admitting she used the C word, Rebecca Johnson says she labelled him a c*nt for his actions. This, in turn, led Gough to throw his harmonica brace at her.
“I was stunned. But luckily he throws like a girl, so it fell short,” Johnson told The Sun.
This is not the first case of Badly Drawn Boy's onstage aggression hitting the headlines. He was forced to apologise following a long, sweary rant during a disastrous gig in LA last year.
