Madonna made a social media faux pas by dropping a racist word into her recent Instagram photo.
The singer posted a picture of two males partaking in some boxing exercise, but uploaded it with the caption, "No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disnigga".
Madonna has since deleted the image and re-uploaded with a different caption saying, "Ok let me start this again. #get off my dick haters!"
Her fans and followers attacked the singer with negative comments for her use of the word, with many telling her she needs to stop trying to act cool.
One user said: "Old white bitch just trying to get some attention", while another fan commented: "Hey! People are allowed to dis Madonna for this. It's not cool to use the N word... ever! Not only was it insensitive of her...but it was just plain dumb. I love her ... but quit trying to be cool...find other ways to create headlines...you're 55".

The singer was also recently criticised for uploading a photo of her 13 year-old son posing with bottles of alcohol at New Year, to which she told her fans to "get a sense of humour".
