Ed Sheeran has landed his first ever No.1 single with 'Sing', while Sam Smith is at the top of the album chart for a second week running.
He may have written One Direction's chart-topper 'Little Things', but this is the first time that 23-year-old Sheeran has scored a No.1 in his own right - after 'Sing' shifted 124,000 copies in just seven days.
"It’s fantastic," he told the OfficialCharts.com. "It’s nice to finally have a No.1 in my home country. Thank you to everyone who supported the single for making this happen."
Sheeran beat Sam Smith, whose single 'Stay With Me' landed at No.2, while SecondCity find themselves at No.3 with 'I Wanna Feel', Mr Probz is at No.4 with 'Waves' and John Legend completes the top five with 'All Of Me'.

Meanwhile, Sam Smith did manage to top the albums chart for the second week in a row, after debut The Lonely Hour became the fastest selling debut album of 2014. Smith sold over 101,000 copies in the UK in its first week of release, and sold an extra 48,500 copies in the last week.
Coldplay remain at No.2 with Ghost Stories, while Clean Bandit's debut New Eyes enters at No.3. Paloma Faith's A Perfect Contradiction clings to the charts at No.4 while Paolo Nutini's Caustic Love completes the top five.
