It's been announced that DJ David Morales will pay tribute to Frankie Knuckles at the NYC Downlow opening party at Glastonbury festival on 26 June.

The long time business partner of the late house music pioneer will be playing a tribute set at the opening party of Block9's NYC Downlow, Glastonbury's infamous "underground gay nightclub". The performance will see the DJ spinning a selection of house and disco classics as well as vocalist Robert Owens singing Knuckles' smash hit 'Tears' live.

Speaking of his late friend, Morales said: “Frankie was always a leader, never a follower … I can only describe Frankie in one word ... EPIC," writes Morales. "HAIL THE TRUE KING OF HOUSE."
