Good news for those excited for Frank Ocean's second album - frequent collaborator Nabil says it's a "great record".
While Ocean has failed to premiere any new material at his 2014 live shows, behind the scenes he has been working on the follow up to Channel Orange for over a year. Now according a report from Buzzfeed, the release window is looking ever closer and those around Ocean don't seem to be able to contain their excitement.
The second album is composed of “a number of layers,” hints frequent collaborator Nabil. “Everyone should be excited about this new album — that shit is fire. He’s making a great record. It blows the sophomore-album myth out of the water.”

In preparation for the release, Ocean has parted ways with his management Christian and Kelly Clancy. He has also hired ID PR who handle the press for Alicia Keys and Paul Simon.
While the album is yet to be given a release date and a name, Ocean previously hinted that it would be released summer 2014, saying later that he had to miss Coachella to "finish this bitch". Meaning that the release date is likely to coincide with the end of festival season and Q4.
