Perhaps the least surprising of the whole shortlist, FKA Twigs' brilliant debut album LP1 has been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize - an honour that is not lost on Tahliah Barnett.

Above all others, LP1 was probably the most-tipped favourite to be up for the prize - and it's more than worthy of the recognition.
"It feels like an honour to be amongst a group of people who also care about the music, the writing and the production, and every single aspect that goes into making a record and being the best artist that you can be individually," FKA Twigs told Gigwise at the announcement of the shortlist.
She continued: "I know who I am and I know what I do and it's not really genre-specific. All I can do is do me."
When pushed on artists she'd have like to have seen nominated but didn't make the cut, Twigs drew a blank, and instead paid tribute to the late, great Poly Styrene from X-Ray Spex.
